(1) Verify that the BIOS/firmware settings enable Intel VT-x and disable 'trusted execution.' (2) Power-cycle the host if either of these BIOS/firmware settings have been changed. Intel VT-x might be disabled if it has been disabled in the BIOS/firmware settings or the host has not been power-cycled since changing this setting. This host supports Intel VT-x, but Intel VT-x is disabled. However, 64-bit operation is not possible. I've referred to following article but I'm not able to understand what more is required so that I can run a 64 bit guest O/S. I get the following error when I start the virtual machine. The CPU is 64 bit or otherwise the host OS would n't be so. I'm attempting an installation of Windows 7 Professional 64bit on a host running Windows 7 64 bit.
